Hannibal LaGrange College states that its mission is “to provide an excellent liberal arts education in a distinctively Christian environment, thus preparing students for both personal and career effectiveness.” HLG is a coeducational, Biblically-based Christian institution in a covenant relationship with the Missouri Baptist Convention. Those students who live on campus or commute to classes may choose from more than 20 clubs and organizations on campus to supplement their education. Some of the main choices include various student organizations (academic, honors, student government, and more); service opportunities (missions, mentoring, and more), and performing groups ( band, chorus, theatre, and more).
HLG is built upon a core of general education courses in order to provide a strong educational experience, offering associate and bachelor degrees in liberal arts as well as professional areas, for both traditional and non-traditional students. Hannibal LaGrange College is proud to offer more than 30 majors on the bachelor degree level. In addition to these, associate degrees are offered in several pre-professional programs, including pre-engineering.
